KEY ISSUE
Thanks to nearly a decade of thoughtful study and persistent broad-based organizing from across the Commonwealth, the Governor signed our generational education funding reform legislation into law. It fulfills all five of the recommendations by the Foundation Budget Review Commission — including the key equity provisions — and fills the $1.5 billion hole left by decades of underinvestment.
I advocated for the bill on the Senate floor in October, and it was passed unanimously.
